The cradle boat Baby Tender is an adaptation of the classic yacht tender carried aboard many of the finest yachts during the time when wooden boatbuilding was truly an art.
The boat has a length of 45", a beam of 22" and a midship depth of 8.5". Construction is traditional lapstrake planking on bent frames, copper riveted.
The davits have an overall length of 60" and a height of 47". The wooden cross-member is secured in place with brass rods for easy disassembly and storage. The suspension is made up of davit sheaves and running blocks forming authentic tackles for raising and lowering the boat. Plans include full-size patterns for planks, building molds, backbone assembly, transom and davits.
